Final results of the British general elections showed that the Conservative Party won 364 seats and the opposition Labor Party won 203 seats.
In detail, the Conservative Party won 364 seats, or 43.6% of the seats, while the Labor Party won 203 seats, 32.2%.
The Scottish National Party won 48 seats, 13.9%, while the Liberal Democrats won 11 seats, 11.5%.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the outcome of the general elections had put an end to any possibility of holding a second Brexit referendum, stressing that the exit process would take place as scheduled on January 31.
He added that “the Conservative government has been given a strong new mandate to end Britain’s exit from the European Union, not only to accomplish Brexit, but also to unify the country and move it forward.”
On the other hand, the leader of the British Labor Party, Jeremy Corbin, on Friday, expressed his disappointment with the results of the parliamentary elections, stressing that he will step down in the future from the leadership of the party in the upcoming elections.
