The death toll from the emerging coronavirus in Spain has increased by 224 new cases during the past 24 hours, after health authorities recorded fewer than 200 deaths during three consecutive days.
The Spanish Ministry of Health confirmed today, Wednesday, that the death toll of the epidemic in the country amounted to 25,857 deaths, while the total number of injuries increased by 685 new cases since yesterday, and became 220,325 injuries. To date, 126,000 patients have recovered from Corona in Spain. Yesterday, the Spanish authorities recorded 185 deaths from Corona.
It is scheduled to discuss the Spanish parliament today the possibility of extending the state of mobilization declared in the country against the background of the Corona pandemic for the fourth time in a row.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed his firm conviction that the restrictions imposed to deter coronavirus outbreaks should remain for several more weeks, warning that raising them now would be a mistake.
