Iraqi Minister of Health and Environment, Hassan Al-Tamimi, announced Friday the preparations of the Baghdad International Fair to accommodate people living with the Coronavirus.
MOH media office stated, in a statement, that the Minister “supervised the equipping of “centers for isolating” for those infected with Coronavirus after investing the halls in the Baghdad International Fair accompanied by the Governor of Baghdad, a ministerial delegation and a medical specialist today, Friday, 12 June 2020″.
He stressed, “The Ministry has invested in the Baghdad International Fair in order to reduce the momentum on public hospitals, offer services to the rest of the patients and provide fluidity by receiving suspected cases, in coordination with the Aqeeq Charitable Foundation.”
He pointed out that “medical centers in the Baghdad fair will be ready during the next week, as the halls will be equipped with all the medical supplies, and a specialized laboratory will be prepared for corona tests and specialized radiology units while providing housing for the health staff who will work in this place.”
