IHEC denies the withdrawal of the chairman of BoC from his entrusted duties

The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) denied, on Thursday, the withdrawal of the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners from the tasks entrusted to him.

IHEC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “there is no truth to what is being circulated in the various media regarding the withdrawal of the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Jalil Adnan Khalaf, from the tasks entrusted to him as the head of the Independent High Electoral Commission.

IHEC added that the Chairman and members of the Board of Commissioners affirm their commitment to hold the elections of the Iraqi parliament on their scheduled date on October 10, 2021.
