Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein arrived in Tehran on Tuesday.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with Iranian President Ibrahim Rais, in addition to a number of Iranian officials.
During the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will discuss topics related to bilateral relations and the security situation in the region, in addition to handing over the invitation from Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to the Iranian President to attend the summit meeting of Iraq’s neighboring countries.
The minister is accompanied, according to the statement, by National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji, Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Raed Jouhi, and Head of the Neighboring Countries Department in the Foreign Ministry, Ihsan Al-Awadi.
