The Lebanese Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi announced on Monday the official results of the parliamentary elections in five districts, hailing the democratic achievement of holding the vote.
Mawlawi announced the names of the winners as follows:
1- Bekaa I: Ramy Abu Hamda, George Akis, Michel Daher, Elias Estephan, Salim Aoun, Bilal Al-Hashimi, and George Bushkian
2- South I: Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri, Osama Saad, Saeed Al-Asmar, Charbel Massad, and Ghada Ayoub
3- Bekaa III: Hussein Hajj Hassan, Ghazi Zuaiter, Ehab Hmedeh, Ibrahim Al-Moussawi, Antoine Habashi, Jamil al-Sayyid and Muhammad Al-Hujairi
4- Mount Lebanon I: Ziad Al-Hawat, Raed Baro, Nada Al-Bustani, Neamat Afram, Shawki Al-Dakash, Farid Al-Khazen, Simon Abi Ramia, and Salim Al-Sayegh
5- South II: Nabih Berri, Hussein Jashi, Ali Khreis, Inayat Ezzedine, Ali Oseiran, and Michel Moussa
The Interior minister considered, in a press conference, that holding the parliamentary elections was an achievement for the government, citing numerous hardships in this regard.
Mawlawi told the reporters that the results of the remaining districts will be announced gradually, adding that sustaining integrity requires providing the judges enough time to conclude the process of counting votes.
