The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, discussed with the Egyptian Ambassador, Walid Muhammad Ismail, today, Monday, cooperation and partnership between Baghdad and Cairo in the field of combating terrorism and exchanging information and experiences.
The media office of the National Security Adviser said in a statement, “Al-Araji received in his office today, the Egyptian Ambassador in Baghdad, Walid Muhammad Ismail, and during the meeting, they reviewed the political and security situation in the region, and discussed ways to strengthen brotherly relations between Iraq and Egypt at all levels.”
The statement indicated that the two sides discussed the continuation of cooperation and partnership between Baghdad and Cairo in the field of combating terrorism and exchanging information and experiences.
Al-Araji stressed, during the meeting, that “the Iraqi government, headed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, is determined to open up to brothers and friends and consolidate points of convergence, in a way that enhances the security and stability of the region and the world.”
