Today, Wednesday, the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) offered condolences to the victims of the wedding hall fire incident in Nineveh.
The mission stated in a blog post on its page on the “X” website: “We feel shock and pain due to the huge loss of life and injuries in the fire that occurred in Al-Hamdaniya in Nineveh. Huge tragedy. Our sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. We wish those injured a speedy recovery.”
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Badr, announced hours ago that the death toll from the fire – until then – reached 100 deaths and 150 injured.
