The United States is the world’s biggest source of instability, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Saturday.
The Chinese minister said during a meeting with his Dutch counterpart on the sidelines of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Group of 20 countries in Japan, that US politicians tarnish China’s reputation in the world without providing evidence and use state-owned policy tools to curb the legitimate interests of Chinese companies, according to the agency “Reuters”.
In the meantime, US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the trade negotiations between China and the United States are progressing well, stressing his intention to conclude this deal.
“Negotiations with China (on the trade deal) are going well,” Trump told reporters, stressing that the two sides are seeking a deal to end the trade war.
US news agencies recently reported that the United States could delay the lifting of duties on Chinese goods, which should enter into force Dec. 15, and the conclusion of the trade agreement could be postponed indefinitely.
In contrast, the head of the Chinese delegation to the trade negotiations with the United States, Liu He, expressed cautious optimism about the signing of the first part of the trade agreement.
