Iraqi Parliament approves the resignation of Abdul Mahdi.

The Iraqi parliament approved on Sunday the resignation of Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi from his post.

Alghadeer correspondent in the parliament said that the Speaker of the Parliament, Mohammed al-Halbousi read the resignation of the Prime Minister to the attended deputies, noting that according to Article 75 of the Constitution the resignation of the Prime Minister was accepted.

“The President of the Republic will be addressed to nominate a new Prime Minister in accordance with Article 76 of the Constitution,” the Speaker added.
