In Pictures: Over 500 IS Bombs and IEDs Discovered in Kirkuk

Iraqi police announced on Thursday that they have discovered a depot where the Islamic State (IS) terrorists had hidden hundreds of bombs and other improvised explosive devices (IED) in Kirkuk.

According to a statement by the Iraqi Police, the depot was found during a search operation in Sada village of Kirkuk.

There were a total of 518 bombs and IDS of different types and sizes, the statement said.

A specialized engineering team later defused and collected the explosives to be destroyed later.
