Iraqi Airports Denies Entry to Passengers from China for Coronavirus

Basra International Airpot in the south of Iraq has taken new measures that deny entry to all passengers traveling from China to Iraq.

Samer Younis, director-general of Basra airport, confirmed the decision which has been put in place on Saturday.

The decision is part of Iraq’s precautions against coronavirus.

Earlier the day, the media reported that Erbil International Airport had deported four Chinese passengers for the same reason.

The Kurdistan Regional Government ordered airports and border crossings to deny entry to passengers of any nationality who traveled to China after 14th January.
