Allawi to hold a crucial meeting with the leaders of the political blocs

Al-Fateh Alliance, led by Hadi Al-Amri revealed on Monday, the existence of a meeting he described as important between Iraqi Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi and leaders of political blocs.

It is supposed that Allawi, who was named Prime Minister after a difficult consensus reached by the political blocs, will present his formation to Parliament before the second of next March to vote on it, according to the constitution.

” There will be an important meeting between Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, leaders of the blocs and Iraqi political parties this evening in order to discuss the names of the candidates for the portfolios,” said the leader in the Alliance, MP Hanin Qaddo.

Qaddo said, “All the leaders of the blocs and political parties will be in today’s meeting, and this meeting will come in order to resolve all differences so that Allawi go to Parliament to vote on granting confidence to him and his cabinet.”
