Twitter founder donates more than a quarter of his wealth to fight Corona

The founder of Twitter announced his donation of one billion dollars to help cope with the outbreak of the new Corona virus, which causes the disease (Covid 19)
Twitter founder and president, Jack Dorsey, announced on Tuesday that he will donate $ 1 billion in shares of his other company, Square, to help fight the coronavirus.

In a message posted on the social network, he explained that the amount represented 28% of his wealth.

“When we eradicate this epidemic, the money will be directed towards girls’ health and education, as well as universal income,” he said.

On March 11, the World Health Organization classified the emerging pandemic virus “pandemic”. More than 1.37 million people were infected in some 206 countries and territories, including more than 78,000 people, including more than 294,000 people.

The epidemic forced many countries of the world to take exceptional measures, such as closing borders, suspending flights and studying, and closing shops and tourist and public places, along with imposing closures or curfews.
