Military helicopter crash kills four in Istanbul

 

Four soldiers died after a military helicopter crashed in a suburb of Istanbul on Monday, according to Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya.

Ambulances and other emergency services vehicles rushed to the scene of the crash, which occurred in a residential area.

According to reports no civilians were injured when the Bell UH-1 helicopter crashed. The Turkish Defence Ministry has launched an investigation into the cause of the incident.

In November 2018 another military helicopter went down in Istanbul while it was returning from a training flight with the loss of four lives.
