The Chinese Foreign Ministry has denied the authenticity of the US reports that it leaked the “Covid-19” Coruna virus from an institute of virology in Wuhan, China.
“As for the so-called virus leakage and other hypotheses, it is devoid of any scientific evidence,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Li Ziyan in a press statement Thursday.
The comments came in response to a report published by “Fox News” television station on Wednesday, in which it stated that the Corona virus originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, not as a biological weapon, but rather as part of China’s efforts to show that its efforts to monitor and combat viruses equal or exceed the capabilities of the United States.
This and other reports indicated that poor safety standards in the laboratory where viruses are being tested in Wuhan caused someone to become infected and appear in a market where the virus began spreading.
US President Donald Trump announced that his government was trying to determine whether the Coronavirus had emerged from a laboratory in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Beijing should disclose what it has learned about this virus.
