In Iraq, the World Health Organization has called on the government to continue to tighten its preventive measures against the coronavirus.
The representative of the organization, Adham Ismail, said in a statement today, Thursday, that “the first day of lifting the partial ban was not good indicators, regarding adherence to preventive measures, unlike the second day.”

He added, “The best partial ban was lifted on the first day of Ramadan, but the government decided to lift it due to the need for citizens to purchase equipment in preparation for the holy month.”
Ismail expected that the commitment of citizens will be more during the holy month of Ramadan, especially during the day due to fasting and hot weather, stressing that “in the event of injuries receding to zero or one can announce the lifting of the ban completely.”
He pointed out that the global research centers have not yet provided any treatment for the virus, indicating that the treatment of malaria was unsuccessful because it results in side effects. For this we need research that produces a treatment that eliminates the virus without causing other diseases and complications.
He stressed that the real treatment at the present time is to adhere to the preventive measures.
