The Canadian Health Administration warns against using malaria drugs to treat corona

The Health Administration of Canada has warned against the use of malaria drugs, hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine, to prevent or treat coronavirus disease, stressing that these two drugs may cause serious side effects, including serious heart rhythm problems.

She advised not to use these two drugs except on the prescription of a doctor.

The National Agency for the Protection of Medicines and Health Products in France had previously issued a warning about the anti-malarial drug, which is also used to treat lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, according to the prospectus website.

She stated that more than half of the 321 “unpleasant side effects” of treatments currently used for the emerging coronavirus are caused by the drug hydroxychloroquine and the anti-inflammatory drug with azithromycin.
