The press office of the Russian Ministry of Culture announced today, Wednesday, that the Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lubimova was infected with the Coruna virus.

“The Minister of Culture, Olga Lubyumova, is working remotely. The results of the analysis of Covid-19 are positive,” said a spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Culture, Anna Osacheva.

“The Minister is present at home and communicates via video conference, and she participates in all meetings and negotiations via video, and there is no talk of her being admitted to the hospital,” she added.

On January 22, Olga Lyubimova, who was head of the cinema department of the Russian Ministry of Culture, was appointed Minister of Culture in the new Russian government, replacing Vladimir Medinsky who had held this position since 2012.

Olga Lyubimova was born on December 31, 1980, joined the Department of Dramatic Studies (GITIS (RATI) in 2001, graduated from it in 2007, worked on television as a correspondent for the third Russian channel on TVC, and was also presenting “Moscow-2009″ and ” City and People “on the” Capital “TV channel, and she was also presenting a number of programs on the third Russian channel.

In the period 2010-2011, she held the position of head of the final informational and analytical program “Context” on the TV channel “Kultura”, and in 2016 she held the position of deputy director of social and press programs for the First Russian Channel, and she participated in the creation of more than 80 documentaries, including on TV channels Russia 1, Kultura and Channel 1, and in January 2018, Lyubimova was appointed director of the film department of the Ministry of Culture.
