Iraq sets a new Covid-19 record

The Iraqi ministry of health and Environment declared today, Friday, that 14 fatalities and 1006 new confirmed cases were registered. Those numbers are the highest since the outbreak of the virus in the country.

The Ministry stated that 281901 tests were performed since the beginning of the outbreak, adding up today’s tests (9642) which are distributed as follows:

Baghdad / Al-Rusafa: 274

, Baghdad / Al-Karkh: 139

Medical City: 115

Najaf: 21

Basra: 96

Al-Sulaymaniyah: 87

Erbil: 12

Duhok: 6

Karbala: 31

Wasit: 42

Kirkuk: 28

Diyala: 3

Babel: 48

Maysan: 11

Al-Diwaniyah: 24

Dhi Qar: 50

Al-Muthanna: 13

Nineveh: 1

Saladin: 5

The statement indicated that the cases of recovery amounted to 235 cases, distributed as follows:

Baghdad / Al-Rusafa: 153

Baghdad / Al-Karkh: 43

Najaf: 4

Basra: 6

Erbil: 3

Diyala: 13

Babel: 2

Maysan: 6

Al-Diwaniyah: 1

Al-Muthanna: 1

Saladin: 3.

While 14 mortality cases were registered, as follows:

Baghdad / Al-Rusafa: 4

Baghdad / Al-Karkh: 2

Medical City: 4, Basra: 1

Diyala: 2

Al-Muthanna: 1

 

The total number of confirmed cases registered since the beginning of the outbreak reached 9846, while the total number of recoveries became 4573. The total number of Inpatients is 4988, including 63 patients admitted to ICU. The death toll is 285.
