Iraq: two ISIS terrorists killed in airstrike between the Diyala and Salahuddin borders

A security source in Diyala reported that two ISIS gangs were killed in an airstrike between the Diyala and Salahuddin borders, Thursday.

The source told ِAlghadeer News that, according to accurate intelligence information, warplanes bombed a den of ISIS in the village of “Albu Juma” within the “Mutaiebija” border area between Diyala and Salahuddin.

The source confirmed that the strike resulted in the killing of two ISIS operatives, one of whom is a leader in the organization, pursued by the security forces and moving between the deserted villages between Diyala and Salahuddin for several years.

The source pointed out the existence of ISIS hideouts and hideouts in several villages in the Mutaiebija district, whose residents have not returned for 5 years due to security concerns.

“Mutaiebija” sector, which extends between Diyala and Salahuddin, is one of the hot and soft areas due to the lack of security forces and the loss of security responsibilities among the leaders of Diyala and Samarra operations.
