Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi announced today, Thursday, the implementation of extensive tracking operations on centers of ISIS in different areas north of Miqdadiyah, 40 kilometers northeast of Baqubah.
A commander of “Nida’a Diyala” Brigade in Al-Hashd Al-Ashaeri, Adnan Al-Lahibi, told Shafaq News agency that forces from Al-Hashd carried out carried out wide inspections in areas north of Al-Miqdadiyah.
He emphasized that the operations resulted in the seizure of ISIS hideouts containing communication devices in to medical supplies.
Al-Lahibi indicated that the operations come after the killing of a prominent ISIS leader yesterday, Mahmoud Albayati, and the wound of his assistant who escaped.
It is noteworthy that the northern of Miqdadiyah is still a dangerous place since ISIS stationed in farms and orchards far away from security operations for several years.
