The Iranian Embassy in Baghdad announced that the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Javad Zarif, will meet during his visit tomorrow, Sunday to Iraq, six dignitaries and officials in Iraq.
A statement by the Iranian Embassy, according to the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency (IRNA) said: “Zarif and his accompanying political delegation will head to the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday morning to discuss mechanisms for expanding bilateral relations and implementing previous cooperation documents between the two countries.”
The statement added: “The Iranian Foreign Minister will meet with his Iraqi counterpart Fouad Hussein in Baghdad and participate in the joint press conference with him, and then he will go to the government palace for talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi on developing strategic relations between the two countries.”
After this meeting, Zarif will meet the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, at the Presidential Palace; to discuss with him bilateral relations and other issues of common concern. ”
According to the statement, the Iranian Foreign Minister’s talks will include his meeting with the head of the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq, Faiq Zaidan, and also the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority , Faleh al-Fayyad.
In conclusion, he will hold talks with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, “Mohammed al-Halbousi.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement today, Saturday, that the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, will arrive in Baghdad tomorrow, Sunday, and meet with the Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein, and they will hold a press conference at the Ministry’s headquarters.
