The Cell leader, Abu Ali Al-Basri, announced in a press statement about the implementation of a series of qualitative operations in coordination with the Joint Operations Command during the past May and June, which resulted in the arrest of 419 terrorists wanted for terrorist crimes and joining ISIS cells in various regions of the country (Nineveh, Basra, Baghdad, Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, Ramadi, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah).

The Director General of Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism at the Ministry of Interior also counted other operations that support the efforts of the directorates specialized in criminal duties, drug control and organized crime. He indicated the arrest of about 409 wanted persons for various crimes for the aforementioned period, in addition to seizing 61 explosive devices and about 144 missiles hidden in remote areas for camouflage and use for suicide operations, and found 17 pilesof ammunition containing various materiel in separate areas.

Al-Basri indicated that ISIS had planned that these hideouts and racks be safe from monitoring and intelligence follow-up operations. He had lost all of them by specific operations, which weakened his ability to logistical and prepare explosive devices, stressing that the Interior Ministry forces would pursue ISIS remains until the terrorist presence in the country was eliminated.

Al-Basri confirmed that the Interior Minister, Lt. Gen. Othman Al-Ghanmi pays special attention to intelligence work during his tenure at the Ministry, to eliminate the remnants of ISIS terrorist elements, dismantle sleeper cells, and chase the mafias of drug trafficking, organized crime and mysterious crimes, in order to achieve a complete imposition of security and social peace.

He revealed the details of the operation to storm a terrorist den in the village of Ma’amara Al-Zaidan in the Abu Ghraib area southwest of Baghdad, explaining that the operation was carried out on (13/7/2020) and killed and bombed those who were in the den. ”

He added, “according to the information provided by the cell and the directorate, it reported that ISIS issued its orders to its members to carry out terrorist operations to target Baghdad with suicide bombings, and after investigation and information gathering, we issued orders to a joint force from the Falcons Cell and the tactical teams in the Directorate to storm the den, and during an exchange of fire the attacking force was able to besiege the den, and after the crackdown on the terrorists and confrontation ; One of the terrorists blew himself up while breaking into the den, and the force was able to kill the five suicide terrorists who were inside.

He continued: This operation also resulted in the martyrdom of an associate of the Falcons cell, Abd al-Amir al-Zubaidi, and the death of an officer from the Catch Force of the Abu Ghraib division with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the 54th Brigade, stressing that despite the defeat of the terrorist organization ISIS and the elimination of its leaders and its military loss of lands in Syria and Iraq in 2016 And 2017, however, it has not been completely eliminated and its threat remains based on national security and world peace. ”

In a declaration of the Hawks Cell, the first of its kind, it affirmed that Amir Mohammed Saeed (known as Abdullah Qirdash) is the current leader of the terrorist organization ISIS.

The visual leader stated that “Qirdash is still hiding in some open areas in eastern Syria, and that he faces intense opposition to his person from some of the legitimate members of the delegated committee and the leaders of the first terrorist organization for taking over the so-called (Caliphate),” stressing that this has serious repercussions that threaten the life of (Qirdash) with death, and foreshadows division for the foreign and Gulf nationalities around it on the one hand, and the Iraqis on the other.

The head of the Falcons Cell warned against ISIS plans to rearrange its ranks in the country, the region and the rest of the targeted countries to carry out terrorist operations, noting that the Turkmen criminal (Prince Muhammad al-Turkmani-) is planning to take advantage of the security services and resources of the countries being busy fighting the Corona pandemic virus, no especially since most of the ISIS leaders live with delusions and with the firm conviction that the Corona virus appeared in the hope of helping them in their terrorist wars locally, regionally and internationally
