SOMO: Iraq is selling its oil to Asia at a premium at $ 2.10 per barrel

The Deputy General Manager of SOMO Company, Ali Nizar, said: “Iraq raised the price of its oil to the Asian market by $ 2.1 during the current month.”

Nizar said, in a press statement that Iraq got benefit after the implementation of the (OPEC +) agreement, which is to reduce the production of these countries whose oil types are acidic and medium, which caused scarcity of these two types,” noting: “Iraqi oil is part of these oils, and SOMO invested this type by selling Iraqi oil at a premium price. ”

He stressed that “90-95% of Basra oil will be sold at a premium to the Asian market,” noting that “Iraq is committed to the (OPEC + ) agreement 100%.”
