Arsenal beat London rivals Chelsea to win the FA Cup inside an almost empty Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta’s side came from behind to win 2-1 in a game that rounds off a domestic season like no other.
Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice after Christian Pulisic had put Frank Lampard’s men in front.
Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic was sent off after what proved to be Arsenal’s winner for two bookable offenses.
Aubameyang went on to lift the famous trophy – but not before dropping it.
Arsenal’s tally of FA Cup wins now stands at 14 – more than any other English club.
It is their fourth FA Cup in seven years and secures Europa League participation next season.
Arteta has now won the competition as both Arsenal captain and manager.
Football fans will still be able to enjoy – albeit from home – the resumption of the Champions League and Europa League before the Premier League kicks off again in mid-September.
The likelihood is fans will not be back in stadiums by then.
