Al-Fateh Alliance called on Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to hold an expanded meeting of leaders and representatives of political blocs before the start of his visit to Washington, in order to define a unified position regarding the future of the relationship between Washington and Baghdad, referring to the obligation of Al-Kadhimi to open the file of the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq.
“Al-Kadhimi’s visit to Washington during the coming days is very important, especially in light of the circumstances the region is going through, as well as being complementary to the dialogue with the Americans on arranging the withdrawal of their forces from Iraq, according to the recent decision of the representatives of the people (the parliament,” said coalition MP Fadel Al-Fatlawi.
He added, in a press statement, “We do not want the visit to be limited to the files by the Americans only, but rather it must be determined by the two sides.” Calling on Al-Kadhimi to meet the leaders of political blocs before the start of his visit to Washington, in order to define a unified position regarding the future of the relationship between Washington and Baghdad
