Public Health Iraq: 500,000 People Vaccinated out of 40 Million

The Director of Public Health, Riyadh Abdul-Amir Al-Halfi, announced that: Only 500 thousand people received the vaccine out of 40 million, which represents 2% of the general population.

He said in a press statement that: The quantities of the vaccine received in Iraq are not enough for everyone, but during the coming months there will be enough.

Al-Halfi added that: If 60-70% of the citizens are vaccinated, especially adults, then the pandemic will be controlled, there will be herd immunity and it will not spread again.
