Iraqi armed forces on Wednesday launched a large-scale operation through three axes in different areas of Kirkuk to hunt down the remaining elements of the Islamic State (IS).
Yehia Rasool, the spokesperson for the Iraqi Commander-in-Chief, said the operation is supported by the country’s air force and military aviation.
It is planned to clear the areas of Wadi al-Shai, Wadi Zighatoon, and the surrounding villages.
