The Secretary General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, considered the arrest of a leader in the Popular Mobilization Forces, an attempt to push for the cancellation of the elections, forming an emergency government and disrupting the constitution.
Khazali said in a tweet on “Twitter”: “The arrest of an important leader in the Popular Mobilization Forces, in an operation outside the legal and military contexts, and in this way, is nothing more than a shuffle papers and a malicious attempt to confuse the security situation and create chaos to push towards canceling the elections, forming an emergency government, and disrupting the constitution.”
Khazali added, “We must stand firm against these attempts and the correct legal policies must be re-enforced by handing over the detainee to the Popular Mobilization Security Forces legally.”/
