Iraqi Forces Launch Fresh Operation against IS in Diyala

Iraqi armed forces on Saturday launched a new operation against the Islamic State (IS) terrorists in the eastern province of Diyala.

The operation covered rural areas to the south of Baquba, the provincial capital city of Diyala, the Iraqi Army said.

The army, federal police forces, and units of the Hashd al-Shaabi (PMF) participated in the operation.
