Iraqi security forces on Wednesday arrested 38 people in the country’s eastern province of Diyala, Police Spokesperson Nihad Mohammed said.
The individuals are suspect of having links to the Islamic State (IS) or being involved in terrorist attacks, Mohammed added.
Alghadeer has learned that the majority of arrests were made in the Jalawla (Gualal) district of Diyala.
Meanwhile, police forces in Kirkuk arrested two people based on previous warrants. The individuals are also believed to be members of the Islamic State.
