Los Angeles fireworks explosion: Truck goes up in flames as police seize fireworks

A truck filled with 2,000kg of illegal fireworks has exploded while police officers were in the process of seizing the goods.

At least 17 people were injured – most of them police officers – when the truck went up in flames in Los Angeles.

Cars and houses were damaged by the blast, with investigators remaining on-site to make sure buildings were safe.
