Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces thwart ISIS attack, west of Tuz Khurmatu

The forces of the 52nd Brigade of the Popular Mobilization thwarted an ISIS infiltration operation west of Tuz Khurmatu on Thursday.

A statement by the PMF, seen by the “Al-Ghadir” website, stated that “a force from the intelligence and security forces of the 52nd Brigade in the Popular Mobilization thwarted, today, an infiltration operation by ISIS near Haleiwa Airport, west of Tuz Khurmatu district in Salah al-Din.”

The statement indicated that “the operation took place after monitoring the movements of ISIS in the aforementioned area, where the force-directed them and forced them to retreat to the area from which they came.”
