The Parliamentary Legal Committee rules out holding the elections on the specified date

Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Legal Committee ruled out holding the elections on their scheduled date due to the circumstances that Iraq is going through.

Committee member Salim Hamza said in a statement seen by Al-Ghadeer website, that “the current environment at the political, economic and even security levels is unstable, and therefore the date of the upcoming parliamentary elections is not fixed and may not be held on time.”

He added that “most of the political blocs will hold the elections on their scheduled date, next October.”
