Minister of Health and Environment Hani Al-Aqabi received, on Wednesday, British Ambassador to Iraq Mark Bryson-Richardson and his accompanying delegation.
A statement by the Ministry, a copy of which was received by AlghadeerTv, stated that during the meeting, they discussed strengthening relations between the two countries in the health field, as well as the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus for the two countries, assigning preventive programs and providing vaccines through the Kovacs port, and the Kingdom’s provision of support through the United Nations Development Program in the rehabilitation and establishment of Hospitals and health centers and support the displaced people’s compounds following wars and terrorism by providing mobile clinics through the United Nations organizations.
The statement added that the file of supporting the displaced following wars and terrorism was addressed by providing mobile clinics through United Nations organizations, supporting the family planning strategy and basing its programs in the Public Health Department.
The British ambassador also praised the role of the Iraqi Ministry of Health in controlling the epidemic and its great role in confronting the pandemic in Iraq.
