Denmark overtakes Spain and sets up a date with France in the Olympic handball final

The Danish handball team took an important new step on the way to defending its Olympic title, with its precious victory 27/23 today, Thursday, against its Spanish counterpart in the semi-finals of the handball competition (for men), at the current Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020).

The Danish team is one step away from preserving the Olympic title that was crowned in the 2016 Rio Olympics, which is still the only one in the history of its Olympic participation, knowing that the team won the world title in the previous two editions of the World Championships in 2019 and 2021.

The Danish team will meet in the final on Saturday, its French counterpart, in a repetition of the final of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, which brought together the same two teams before the Danish team crowned the gold.

Egypt will face Spain in the third-place match, at 11 am next Saturday
