Video shared on social media captured the moment a prototype of a Russian military aircraft burst into flames and crashed.
The Ilyushin Il-112V military transport aircraft crashed during a test flight near Moscow with three people on board on Tuesday, the aircraft’s manufacturer United Aircraft Corporation said in a statement posted on Twitter.
The crash occurred during the aircraft’s landing approach in a forest near the Kubinka airfield, the company said.
The statement from the company did not say if there were any casualties. It said a commission would be established to determine the cause of the crash.

However, the RIA news agency cited a source as saying the crew died in the crash.
A video of the crash captured the plane flying at low altitude with one of its wings on fire, before plummeting to the ground moments later.
