Israel’s persistent killings and expansionist agenda would spiral the situation out of control across the occupied territories and endanger the entire region, a Palestinian presidential spokesman has warned.
Palestinian Authority spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said in a statement on Monday that the Israeli regime atrocities and its settlement construction could push the situation “towards an overall explosion” across the whole region.
“Israel should learn that the situation is no longer tolerable and that its continued extrajudicial killings of Palestinians and settlement construction will lead to a conflagration with unforeseeable consequences for the whole region.”
Israeli forces stormed the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank on Monday, and shot martyred four Palestinians. The bodies of at least two of the victims were being held by Israeli authorities.
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has called for a general strike in the wake of the shooting martyred of the four young Palestinians.
