The Leader of Al-Fateh Alliance, Hadi Al-Amiri offered his warm condolences on the death of the great religious authority, Sayyid Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim
We received with more sadness and sorrow the news of the departure of the great religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim (may his secret be sanctified) today…Al-Amiri in statement
Added “The deceased was a divine scholar and jurist. He spent his blessed life in scientific research, writing and writing, and thousands of professors and scholars graduated from the honorable seminary, and he suffered years of imprisonment and torture in the prisons of the hateful Baath Party”
“The late Sayyid Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim was one of the most prominent who supported the fatwa of Sayyid al-Sistani in the sufficient jihad and one of the most supportive of the PMF in all situations and as long as his calls and words represented a balm for the wounds of the mujahideen as they confronted the terrorist Da’esh, may God have mercy on the great authority, Sayyid Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim, and our condolences to the awaited Imam Mahdi and to our religious Marja’iyah, especially Grand Ayatullah al-Sistani with this great loss. And to Him, we shall return.”
Also, the three Iraqi Presidents condoled the death of the senior Iraqi Shi’a Marja, Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim.
President Barham Salih said in a statement that Al-Hakim was, “one of the prominent figures of the Islamic nation who combined knowledge with work in consolidating the values of justice, faith, love, and peace, with beautiful patience and long jihad, despite the difficult ordeals that faced him.”
For his part, PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi said that the deceased “spent precious years of his blessed life in jihad against the tyrant and suffered the most severe torment in his prisons.”
The speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halboosi, said in a statement, “We extend our deepest condolences to the Islamic nation, the great Marjas, and the honorable family of Al-Hakim.”
Earlier today, the senior Iraqi Shi’a Marja, Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim, died of a sudden heart attack.
He is the son of Muhammad Ali bin Ahmed bin Mohsen al-Tabatabai al-Hakim (1354 AH – 1934 AD, Najaf), a contemporary Shi’a Marja, and one of the leading religious authorities in Najaf.
