Iraqi coordination framework meeting today, Thursday, with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, focused on the continuation of the legal and public steps to follow up on the issue of the election results, support for the Popular Mobilization (PMF), and confirm the exit of foreign forces according to the announced timetable.
The leaders of the coordination framework, according to a statement received by Al-Ghadir, received the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, at the home of Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri, to discuss the outstanding issues and the latest developments in the current situation, and to strengthen the ties of fraternity between the sons of the one nation in a way that serves the interest of the Iraqi people, which is the priority of all parties.
The meeting discussed taking the necessary practical steps to combat corruption, hold the corrupt accountable, stop the approved waste of public money, stress the exit of foreign forces according to the announced timetable, and put in place mechanisms to ensure that arms are confined to the hands of the state.
He also discussed protecting, supporting, and organizing the Popular Mobilization in a way that enhances its role in maintaining security in Iraq and criminalizing normalization and everything related to it, with joint work to preserve the constants of the Iraqi people in addressing moral and social deviations in accordance with legal frameworks.
The meeting also dealt with working to raise the economic level of the deprived areas and to remove the political competition from all service projects and to remove the disadvantaged from these areas.
With regard to the elections, the framework forces affirmed that they will continue their legal and public steps with regard to following up on the issue of the results.
