The spokesman for the Diyala axis, Sadiq al-Hussaini, said that “the intelligence of the PMF has made qualitative breakthroughs for many of the ISIS networks in Diyala and neighboring provinces through security coordination and information exchange, which led to the killing of 10 of the most prominent leaders of the terrorist organization in the governorates of Diyala, Kirkuk and Salah al-Din.”
Al-Husseini added, “50 percent of the airstrikes against ISIS targets, whether in Diyala, Salah al-Din and Kirkuk, are carried out through accurate information by the PMF, which formed committees specialized in tracking down sleeper cells and revealing their leaders in the regions, in addition to controlling their secret hostels.”
He pointed out that “the intelligence of the Popular Mobilization is in constant development, and this has contributed to achieving positive results in the past months in terms of tracking down the leaders of the terrorist group.”
