10 killed in armed attack on a military base in Burkina Faso

News sources on late Sunday reported that 10 people, including 5 soldiers were killed after gunmen attacked a military base in northern Burkina Faso.

The attack also left extensive financial damage, AFP reported.

Earlier this month, gunmen killed 12 soldiers and four civilians in Burkina Faso.

More than 2,000 people have been killed and 1.5 million displaced by terrorist groups in Burkina Faso over the past seven years.
