170 Iraqi MPs sign request to hold Presidential vote session on Wednesday

MP of the Coordination Framework Ibtissam al-Hilali revealed that 170 MPs have signed and submitted a request to the Parliament Presidium today, Monday.

The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, also announced, on Monday, that the Presidency of the House received a request to hold a session to elect the President of the Republic next Wednesday.

Al-Mandalawi said during the parliament session that was held today, that he “received a request signed by 170 deputies that included holding a session to elect the president of the republic next Wednesday.”
