A gas leak at a sea platform in Iran’s southern gas field of Pars, in partnership with Qatar and the Persian Gulf, triggered a minor fire on Wednesday.
The fire broke out hours ago in the No. 9 of the stages of development 6, 7 and 8 in the field of South Pars, the largest gas field in the world, where the suspension of gas extraction from this platform in the first Dakaiq of the incident.
Some 14 working staff were present at the platform at the time of the blast and were transported to Asaluyeh, Southern Province of Bushehr, by helicopter, a source told Fars.
Production at this platform has been halted and fully evacuated now, according to reports.
