The head of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Hadi Al-Amiri, confirmed today, Tuesday, that Iraq lives amid internal and external challenges, but it has many ingredients for success.
A statement by his media office, seen by Al-Ghadeer, stated that the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance received in his office in Baghdad the Swedish ambassador to Baghdad Jessica Svardström, and they discussed many files, most notably the bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for their development, as well as the situation of the Iraqi community in Sweden.
The statement added, “Al-Amiri expressed his great thanks to the Swedish government for its good treatment and interest in Iraqi refugees and providing them with full support and protection, stressing the importance of strengthening joint cooperation, especially in the economic aspect and developing relations to serve common interests and enhance opportunities for progress and construction.”
And he continued, “The Swedish ambassador, for her part, said that her country is interested in Iraq’s security and political stability and supports its national sovereignty.”
And between, “In turn, Al-Amiri made it clear that Iraq lives amid internal and external challenges, but it has many ingredients for success and has been able to restore its strong role in the region.”
