The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, affirmed, today, Tuesday, to the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating terrorism.
The media office of the National Security Adviser stated in a statement that “Al-Araji received in his office the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, and they discussed the latest developments in the political and security situation at the regional and international levels, in addition to discussing Al-Hol camp file and cooperation in the field of drug control.”
The statement added, “During the meeting, the importance of continuing cooperation between Iraq and the United States in the field of combating terrorism and providing the necessary support to end al-Hol camp file was emphasized, in order to achieve security and stability in the region.”
