Today, Thursday, Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari announced the success of the security plan for the anniversary of the death of the Great Prophet.
Al-Shammari had indicated, yesterday, Wednesday, that despite the heavy traffic of vehicles entering Najaf Governorate from all axes, there are no road closures.
Al-Shammari said in press statements, followed by Al-Ghadeer, that “the intelligence effort is mobilized technically and humanly, through surveillance cameras and drones, with a precise intelligence plan by all the security services in the governorate to protect visitors,” noting that “the Najaf police command has been reinforced with (6) ) Regiments from the Supportive Border Forces Command, (2) from the Popular Mobilization Forces, (1) from the Rapid Intervention, as well as emergency regiments, K9 vehicles, traffic bikes, and (219) Federal Police buses to transport visitors.
