The Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi Al-Amiri, confirmed that the attack on Sulaymaniyah represents an attack on all of Iraq.
Al-Amiri’s office stated in a statement today: “The Secretary-General of the Badr Organization received in his office in Baghdad the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Party, Pavel Talabani, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, many important files and outstanding issues between the center and the region and the economic situation were discussed, and the importance of resolving Disagreements through dialogue and adherence to the constitution.”
The office said in its statement: “Al-Amiri expressed his denunciation and condemnation of the attack that targeted the Arbat Airport in Sulaymaniyah, offering his condolences for the martyrdom of the victims of the attack, stressing that an attack on any Iraqi territory is an attack on all of Iraq.”
Al-Amiri renewed his “demand for the withdrawal of all foreign forces from Iraqi territory,” and the need for Iraq to secure its air defenses capable of protecting the airspace and national sovereignty and responding to any external aggression.”
