Iraqi security forces have arrested a terrorist cell in the Muqdadiya district of Diyala province, including women recruiting young people for terrorist groups.
A court of inquiry in Baquba, headed by the Federal District Court of Appeal of Diyala, arrested a “terrorist cell” operating in Muqdadiya district.
“The cell was dismantled in the Muqdadiya district of Diyala province,” a statement issued by the Supreme Judicial Council said Tuesday. “The cell is composed of three accused, including a woman recruiting young people to join an organization calling on terrorists through social networking sites.”
The statement added that “the arrest of the accused was carried out by the security forces after the supervision of the judge of the Court of Investigation Baquba.”
He pointed out that “the court has taken all the procedures against the accused and ratified their confessions judicially in accordance with the provisions of Article IV of the anti-terrorism law.”
